Pramukh Swami Maharaj was born on December 7, 1921 in Chansad, Vadodara. India his birth name was Shantilal Patel.

Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj is the fifth spiritual successor of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and near present chief of Brochasanwasi Shri Aksar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha. Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj led a serious being of lifetime celibacy, lacking individual personal wealth or relieve. Representing the spirit of Hinduism, his care for people, universal knowledge and outstanding simplicity have touched many worlds’ spiritual and national leaders. Other than most chief is his silence, peaceful love for God which rise outside all limits of nation, event and spiritual.
