Akhandamandaleshwer Sri Sri Swami Swarupananda Paramhansa Deva Bankim Chandra Gangopadhyay, a Bengali by birth, was the son of Satish Chandra Gangopadhyay and Mamata Devi. He was born on 26 December 1899 at Chandpur, Dist. Kumillah, and Bangladesh . It is reported that he was truly born on 2 nd Tuesday of the Bengali month ‘Poush’, Bengali era 1306.
