The Gangopadhyay family residing at Chandpur was generally known for their economic involvement and constant appointment in spiritual behavior round the year.
Satish Chandra Gangopadhyay penned frequent devotional songs and led a serious life looking his beloved. Such was the ambience when Bankim was born. Since if he was the answer from God to the serious prayers of the Gangopadhyay family.
