Jayapataka Swami was born John Goldan Erdman on April 9, 1949, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, North America.
Guru Jayapataka Swami appeared on the Ekadasi after Rama Navami among magnificent atmosphere, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, North America. Swami Jayapataka childhood is displayed amazing intelligence and has a large importance in attitude and religious matter. While he was afflicted by a hide illness at the age of 11, at a submission of his grandfather, he cured himself just by invoking the sacred Name of the Lord. In 1970 Srila Prabhupada sends him to India in order to recognize ISKCON centres in Sri Mayapur and Vrndavana. He connected Sri Acyutananda Das and began responsibility creative work of ISKCON in India on behalf of Srila Prabhupada. They would perform a Kirtan, enroll Life Patron Members, and deliver lectures, execute public and secret programs in common homes.
